Getting to the Algarve

The main gateway to the Algarve is Faro Airport (FAO), which receives flights from major European cities year-round, with increased frequency during summer. From Faro, you can easily reach other Algarve destinations by car, bus, or train.

Best Time to Visit

The Algarve enjoys a Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine per year. The peak season is July-August when temperatures can exceed 30°C. For pleasant weather with fewer crowds, consider visiting in May-June or September-October.
